A foundation built in Ahmedabad
Vanshika Shah's journey began in Ahmedabad, India, where she pursued her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design — developing a keen eye for space, proportion, and the way materials shape how we experience a room.
From her earliest projects, she noticed what most designers overlook: that a beautifully designed space can feel entirely wrong if the acoustics aren't considered. That realisation became the seed of everything VR Acoustics would grow to be.
London — where design met science
Driven by curiosity, Vanshika moved to London to pursue a Master's degree in Acoustic Engineering — immersing herself in the technical language of sound: reverberation, absorption coefficients, diffusion, and room modes.
During her studies, she worked alongside world-class designers and acoustic consultants, gaining experience on high-profile projects across commercial, residential and cultural spaces. She also conducted original research on sustainable materials in acoustic design — exploring how natural and reclaimed materials can deliver both acoustic performance and environmental responsibility.
